Exit Slip 4/12

We compared two functions by writing them in the spread sheet to find the points then by graphing them and also changing the signs, when i changed the signs for the function and looked in the graph and i noticed that the shape of the graph just flips, the categories was y1=6^2*x^5 and y2= -6^2*x5, and i have to the 5th degree so it was 36*x^5.

My group helped each other by helping measure the products we had. Yesenia helped us a lot.  We accomplished a lot today, we got to measure our cans and calculate the volume and surface area of our cans. We calculate the radius. We are doing this to help our community with using less materials.

Exit Slip 4/27

The most important concept of today's lesson was solving for the height of my can. I used the calculator today it was  very helpful, it made it easier because it didn't get me confused

Exit slip 4/12

1.I learned how its easier to use google docs for graphing the tables and graph.

2. One major problem i had was that the computer didn't want to work. but then wan helped me another way.

Exit Slip

1. Todays overall task was finding the minimum surface area function with my can's volume alraedy substituted.

2. This was important because we need this information to reduce are can. Once get this information we could build our new structure

Exit Slip

1. One major idea I learned today was making a table way faster. All you had to do was write one thing once then you can drag and it does the rest for you. I like that a lot.

2. I didn't have any problems the only problem I have is that you didn't show us this before.

Update 2

This will be my second update. This been very stress full, but i got alot of things done. One thing i got done was the generalization. This was type easy because once you got the design you can figure every thing else from thier. Like one of my boxes was H+10. For example if the height was 7 the width would be 17. The general form for that would be (x+10). To find the the length you had to minus girth to the total. For example (130-(4x7)). The hardest thing was making the graph. I use the height for my x- axis, and i used the volume for my y-axis. I organized my work by the tables me and my group created. the first one was easy because it was the square face so every thing was equal. The otherboxes were rectangular faces. one was h+12. The other was h+5,and the final rectangular face was h+10. Fedex express and Ups was using the same box design. MOstly every thing was the same except the total and the volume.
I struggled many times. My group had to make like 4 tables over because we made alot of mistakes. That made me realize alot of things. Every thing relie on each other. getting the length had to relie on the girth. And the volume relies on the length. so if one thing is wrong that means all the your hard work was useless because every you did was wrong. then you have to to the whole table all over. I think i progress alot because i created4 lines on my graph, and i found all of the UPS maximum volume. AllI have to do is help my teamates with thier graph. The final thing i notice was when the width is larger then the height the length will be shorter. Also the larger the width the shoter your volume will be.

Team Baldwin

Yesterday my team completed 4 tables. two were the regular square boxes and the other two were the reqtangle boxes. The two choices my team pick was FedEX express and UPS.

Q'z 4 Project

1. Wan why did you write this letter?

2. Will you provide us with the boxes?

3. How many boxes will do?

4. When is this project due?

5. How are we going to present this to the class?

1st Day

Just made myself a new blog. I'm kind of new at this. Kind of excited about this. Hit me up. Don't forget SAINTS UP.
